The equipment is designed for applying agents modifying granulated mineral fertilizers to prevent caking (anti-caking agents) or nitrification inhibitors and urease to reduce non-productive nitrogen loss from nitrous fertilizers after application into soil.
The installation consists of containers, pumps, special nozzles for spraying the conditioning agents and other regulating equipment.
- Heated 100 litre container heats the content liquid up to 75 °C and maintains the required temperature of the anti-caking agent. It is made of stainless steel. The container is equipped with a thermal sensor that engages the heater.
- 1.000 litre container with auxiliary heating maintains the temperature of the inhibitor (temperatures up to 35°C). It is made of plastic (standard IBC container on a palette for easy handling). Based on a signal from submersed temperature sensor, PLC automatically controls heating blanket wrapped around the IBC container.
The containers are installed on load cells. The volume of the applied conditioning agent depends on the recipe and is controlled by the weighing system. Specific consumption (kg/min) is controlled by a special valve.
Nozzles spray the anti-caking agent or inhibitor at the point where the fertilizer falls from the conveyor to ensure an even coating of the granules. The modification procedure ends with final blending in a blender.
